Released on World Hemophilia Day 2026
On 17 April 2026, in conjunction with World Hemophilia Day, a meaningful milestone was marked with the official release of Beyond Hemophilia: Pain, Courage & Purpose—a book that brings to light the lived realities, strength, and resilience of the hemophilia community.
The book dedicated to members of the hemophilia community, families, supporters, healthcare professionals, and advocates. It’s not just to celebrate a book, but to honour a shared journey. It was a moment of awareness, reflection, and unity.
Authored by Andry Suhermanto, Beyond Hemophilia was introduced as more than a personal memoir. It stood as a voice for many—highlighting the physical challenges, emotional weight, and quiet courage carried by those living with hemophilia, often beyond what the world can see.

Book Launched HSM Booth at World Hemophilia Congress 2026
On 22 April 2026, within the global gathering of the World Federation of Hemophilia community, a meaningful moment unfolded at the World Hemophilia Congress 2026, held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. At the Hemophilia Society of Malaysia booth, Beyond Hemophilia: Pain, Courage & Purpose was officially introduced—not just as a book, but as a voice.
Amid medical discussions, scientific advancements, and global collaboration, this launch brought forward something deeply human: the lived experience behind the condition. Written from the perspective of someone who has walked the journey of hemophilia, the book offers more than awareness—it offers understanding.
Beyond Hemophilia is a literacy-driven narrative that bridges the gap between clinical knowledge and real life. It speaks of the unseen battles—the quiet endurance, the emotional weight, the resilience built over years of navigating pain, uncertainty, and limitations. It is a reminder that hemophilia is not only defined by treatment protocols, but by the strength of those who live with it every day.
At the booth, the presence of the book sparked conversations—between patients, caregivers, medical professionals, and advocates from around the world. It became a point of connection, where stories were shared, reflections exchanged, and awareness deepened beyond statistics and terminology.
This launch represents a step forward in advocacy—where storytelling becomes a tool for education, empathy, and empowerment. By placing a personal narrative within a global medical platform, Beyond Hemophilia stands as a testament that awareness is not only taught, but felt.
Because behind every condition, there is a person.
And behind every person, there is a story worth understanding.
